Request For Proposal for Storm Contractors For 2018

Osage Valley Electric Cooperative is currently accepting prices for storm restoration work for the year 2018. This pricing information will be kept on file in the event your assistance is requested for restoration of power for the year 2018. This assistance could include, but not be limited to replacement of or repair to the following items: poles, cross-arms, guy and anchors, the splicing of wires, pulling in of new wire, right of way clearing, material or other work deemed necessary by the Cooperative in the event of a major storm.

Should you wish to submit pricing on this work please do so based on the following factors (when applicable):

The work will be compensated on an hourly basis.

Contractor will furnish all labor, reporting forms and equipment required for the job. Pricing should be by classification and equipment.

Contractor shall maintain worker's compensation and employer's liability insurance as required by law.

Public liability insurance of not less than three million each occurrence; property damage insurance of not less than three million each occurrence and three million aggregate for accidents. A single limit of three million on bodily injury and property damage.

Automobile liability insurance on all motor vehicles in whatever capacity with bodily injury of not less than one million per person and one million each occurrence as well as property damage of one million each occurrence. Contractor will comply with all federal, state and local laws.

If sub-contractors are permitted by Osage Valley Electric, the head contractor must follow the provisions listed, per FEMA requirements.

The Cooperative will evaluate proposals using the criteria specified below:

Contractor integrity, compliance with public policy, and

record of past performance.……………………………………………………10 points

TOTAL ………………………………………………………………………100 points

The Cooperative shall select the highest ranked proposal for award, or may consider a combination of awards at the option of the Cooperative.

Also, please include OSHA Form 300A (the summary only) and return along with your bid proposal.
